Jetting Off? Grab breakfast at Oriel Grande Brasserie, T3 & T4 Heathrow

Early morning flights can be a real drag. When you heading off on holiday you somehow seem to have more energy that you've had all year even after the worst sleep of your life, but that doesn't always last.

Once you've managed to get yourself through security and spent a good half an hour looking at make up and perfume, you can sometimes start to feel a little depleted and in need of a good breakfast. If you are travelling through T3 Heathrow you can find Oriel Grande Brasserie after security. Nestled in the corner, the restaurant has the most beautiful design and make you feel as though you have stepped out of the airport and into a cafe in France. The breakfast menu is served until 12 noon.

(If you are travelling from T4 Heathrow, the Oriel Grande Brassiere is before you head through security. I personally have never visited the restaurant at T4 and have only ever eaten at T3).

For me, the most important thing to order first for breakfast has to be a coffee. You can choose between a small and large French Press Coffee to give you the kick you need. The small press gives you approx 1-2 cups of coffee and the large gives you 3 - 4. The fresh orange is also divine, super fresh with a real zing.

Oriel also offer a range of tasty cocktails to accompany your breakfast. I opted for the Kir De Marseille which is prosecco, french pink grapefruit and raspberry liqueur and passion fruit syrup, delicious!

For me, the French Toast is a must. Seasonal fruits, honey and creme fraiche. Fresh and filling, the fruit makes you feel as though you may be having a healthy breakfast (even though you know something that tasty cannot be good for you!) Whenever I order this dish, I always think it looks quite small but I am always left feeling so full. I defiantly have eyes bigger than my belly sometimes. A great way to start the day before you jet off to your destination.
