JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach

This blog is a little bit different to our usual post here at SistersDineOut. We thought it would be interesting for our readers if we expanded our blogging content to also include hotels. If our readers enjoy the series, then we will continue to add them to our blog, so let us know what you think!

I thought we would kick start things with a little throwback to a hotel I stayed in at the end of August last year when visiting Singapore. I decided to start the hotel series with this hotel as it has been one of the most memorable stays of the past 12 months.

The design of the building is a thing of beauty. Sleek curves and sculptural, the hotel is extremely pleasing to the eye. When you arrive, the large courtyard at the front of the hotel features a beautiful fountain and is a large open space. From here, you can access the hotel itself, the conference facilitates and a number of restaurants. Access to public transport is a short walk away.

The rooms are modern in their interior design and rather spacious. The bathrooms also feature a bath and separate shower. Such a small thing, but having a bath when I travel is such a treat. Even though I have a bath at home, I rarely have the time (or more like I rarely make the time) to enjoy having a long soak. However, when I travel, I always try to make the most of having the time to relax and enjoy a nice bubble bath.

There is ample hanging space hidden away behind ceiling to floor mirrored doors, which was really needed given I was staying for the best part of a week.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and for me, is always a great way to judge a hotel. First of all, there was every type of food on offer than you could possibly wish for for breakfast and secondly the staff were outstanding. One morning I was intrigued by some of the 'interesting' and exotic fruits on offer, one of the team came over to check I was okay and able to find everything I need. I explained I had never seen some of the fruit that was on offer and he talked me through the different fruits, a few local tips on picking the best pieces and even some of the health benefits! Amazing.

I would easily say that the breakfast at the JW Marriott South Beach is one of the best I have had. I would personally stay at this hotel again purely based on it's breakfast offering and quality.

As well as having a fantastic breakfast, the hotel has a stunning rooftop pool with breathtaking views. I woke up early one morning to watch the sun rise and had the entire roof to myself. A tranquil slice of heaven above the busy streets. The best way to start the day. I popped back up one evening to enjoy the skyline and cool down after a hot day in the city.

Not a bad view huh?

As well as the pool, the top floor also has a gym and then on another floor there is a spa too.

I really cannot fault my stay at the JW Marriott Hotel South Beach in Singapore. I would happily recommend it to anyone and very much hope to visit again soon.
