Sunday Brunch, W Hotel, Hong Kong
Brunch in Hong Kong is a real must if you are luckily enough to have a Sunday in the city. It is, without a doubt, is a gluttonous occasion and not one to be taken lightly. Some people say that attending brunch is more like a 'rite of passage'.
The W hotel is a short walk from Kowloon MTR through exit E3 so it is easy to access via public transport. The best thing about arriving via MTR to the W is that you need to walk through the shopping centre, which I admit can be a little dangerous on the way back to the MTR once you have had a few glasses of champagne! Brunch is held in the KITCHEN which is an Alice in Wonderland inspired space overlooking the bay.
Sunday brunch is as much about the booze as it is the food. W offer's two options, free flow Veuve Clicquot yellow label which is HK$888 (approx. £88) or if you are feeling extra fancy, free flow Veuve Clicquor Rose for HK$1,088 (approx. £108) and runs from 12noon until 3pm. 3 hours of all you can eat food and bottomless champagne. It is as incredible as it sounds, I can assure you.
W offers a range of the most exquisite seafood, mini burgers, sunday roast, truffled mash and much more. They have something for ever palette and then if that isn't enough, they also have a Movenpick ice cream counter and a magnificent dessert station.
After 3 hours of stuffing your face with food and gallons of champagne, there are two options. Head home to nap off the horrendous amounts you've consumed or head into central HK to another boozy post brunch party. Either way, once you have done brunch in HK, Sunday's elsewhere will never be the same.
